if you read you will learn, and if you didn't you probably learned it from someone else who read about it. -andrew chen '21

tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain. you are young and life is long and there is time to kill today. and then one day you find ten years have got behind you. no one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun. -pink floyd, photo by ava holmes '23

one of the joys of living on campus with my family is the community in which we live. it may be far less than usual, but seeing others in passing is always a highlight of my day. -stacie anastasio

when the sun is set at a certain position,  sunshine flows uncontrollably through my room. this is my favorite time to be shooting photography, in my room. although i had not originally planned taking pictures of the combination of my dangling bracelets and the increments of sunshine seeping through my window, i hadn’t realized until uploading them, that i had been focused in that certain region. i decided to crop the rest out and let this interesting array of subjects remain together. -johana pineda-angon '21

沙巴体育世界杯although my sister, in person, is bubbly and passionate, in every single photo that i have taken of her each time i’m able to capture a different side of her. the pictures of her taken by the windowsill capture her curious state of mind. the more i stood there behind the camera the more she shied away, which is what also gave her a sense of timidness throughout the shoot. -johana pineda-angon '21

my mom loves to tie-dye, and sometimes i like to help her out. this is pretty much a norm for us, but it's kind of different now that we're in quarantine. i appreciate it more and notice new things each time. kai samad '23

沙巴体育世界杯eva's best friend turned 6 and her parents threw her a zoom party. there was something so surreal about seeing all their little faces dancing and singing together but it was not strange to them. kids are so resilient and accepting. it was really quite moving. -kelli abdoney, photography teacher

everyone’s experience is valid. just because people are dying doesn’t mean you can’t be sad about not going to prom or graduating or missing your friends. everyone is allowed to feel sad or scared or depressed. -abigail steel '21

沙巴体育世界杯i think a good use of time right now is to reacquaint ourselves with the world and our environment so that when we come out of all of this we take larger steps towards protecting it. -ava smith '20

沙巴体育世界杯if we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly our whole life would change. -buddha, photo by kiara fox '20

But there are times when a tree can no longer withstand the pain inflicted on it, and the wind will take pity on that tree and topple it over in a mighty storm. All the other trees who witnessed the evil look down upon the fallen tree with envy. They pray for the day when a wind will end their suffering. I pray for the day when God will end mine. -Julius Lester, Photo by Kiara Fox '20
